Der Voyeur
Hans Scheugl
8mm-film, projector and screen
Austria 1968
“In Der Voyeur, I stood in front of a full size movie screen with an 8 mm projector and screened a pornographic film. The image was so small on the giant screen that it could not be recognized from the audience as more than a small square of light. Whoever wanted to see the film had to acknowledge their role as a Peeping Tom by joining me on stage” (Scheugl 2012: 138)
Hans Scheugl, born 1940 in Vienna, Austria; lives and works in Vienna.
